The boxing world will have all eyes on Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk when they clash for the undisputed heavyweight title in Saudi Arabia.

The two heavyweights will finally meet in the ring on May 18 after the fight was originally meant to take place in February. A cut sustained by Fury in sparring meant the bout was rearranged for this month.

For the first time in over two decades, an undisputed heavyweight champion will be crowned for the first time since Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in 1999.

However, until the two fighters take to the ring next weekend, there continues to be ongoing whispers and fear that the fight may not take place. After an injury set the date back earlier this year, eyes will be on the physique and fitness levels of both fighters.

Here, MEN Sport brings you all you need to know about any possible cancellation in Saudi Arabia.

Current state of play

With a week until the fight takes place, anticipation is building. Fury arrived in Saudi Arabia last weekend and has continued his preparation in the Middle East.

Usyk posted footage of him and his entourage arriving in Riyadh on Friday, stating he was 'happy' to be in the country. However, speculation is beginning to grow that the fight won't go ahead causing doubts over the undisputed heavyweight contest, despite not official news of an injury or problem from either camp.

Reason behind previous cancellation

The previous meeting between the two fighters was rescheduled after an injury sustained to Fury. The WBC heavyweight title holder was forced to withdraw after suffering a cut above his eye during sparring.

Fury has since posted an image of his physique on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: "Undisputed incoming [100 emoji and green tick emoji] 18/5/24."
