OXFORD United will build on their preparations for the Sky Bet Championship campaign with an Andy Whing reunion.

The former U’s defender is the head coach of Vanarama National League side Solihull Moors.

He suffered double Wembley penalty heartbreak at the end of the season, first against Bromley in the National League play-off final, and then against Gateshead in the final of the FA Trophy.

United will visit the Moors on July 20, with a 1pm kick-off at Damson Park.

The U’s are in action for their pre-season opener the evening before, when they will take on Oxford City at Court Place Farm.

A behind closed doors friendly with Sky Bet League one side Exeter City is scheduled for July 24, before a trip to Mansfield Town on July 27.

United will round off their pre-season schedule with a glamorous home fixture against Italian side Palermo on August 3.

The U’s will then kick-start their Championship campaign at home to Norwich City the following weekend on August 10.
