Huge queues have been spotted as fans brave the elements to get to Taylor Swift's gig at Anfield.

The popstar is performing the first of three sold out shows at Liverpool FC's stadium tonight. Heavy rain has arrived in Merseyside today but that has not stopped fans from getting out early to secure a spot at the musician's performance.

Some fans got in the queue in L4 in the early hours so they could get front and centre for the 34-year-old's record breaking Eras Tour. Not everybody wanted to get there quite so early as a long queue of fans was spotted waiting for the bus in Liverpool city centre just after 5pm.

Long queues stretched around the corner of Lord Street as Swifties waited for the bus to come to take them to Anfield. Fans attempting to get a taxi have been hit with a huge obstacle as the price from Old Hall Street to Anfield increased to a whopping £47.96.

Uber issued a warning with the price as a notification said: "Fares are a lot higher due to increased demand."
