Rishi Sunak is set to unveil a £1.65 billion boost for the UK’s coronavirus vaccine rollout as part of his Budget on Wednesday.

The Chancellor will use his address to the Commons to detail the plan for the new cash to aid the vaccination programme, which is a key factor in successfully easing lockdown restrictions.

It comes as the latest daily figures revealed zero new confirmed Covid-19 cases in the London borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It is one of ten boroughs in the capital with a seven-day rate below 50 new infections per 100,000 residents in the week to February 25.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing Labour leader Keir Starmer at Prime Minister’s Questions.
