UK and Ireland Brace for Intense Wind and Rain as Storm Agnes Looms

The UK and Ireland braced for strong winds and heavy rain on September 27, as Storm Agnes intensified off Ireland’s west coast.

Satellite imagery released by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) shows Agnes rotating in the Atlantic Ocean as it approached.

According to the Met Office the storm is expected to bring wind gusts of up to 75 mph.
