UK tourists have been warned to "avoid" the world's "most dangerous" cities. Brit holidaymakers abroad have been urged to keep clear of dangerous cities - including in holiday hotspots like South Africa and Brazil, in South America.

Caracas, Venezuela topped the list with Pretoria, South Africa and Durban, South Africa second and third. Johannesburg, South Africa was named fourth, ahead of Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

The top ten was rounded up by Fortaleza, Brazil and Salvador, Brazil. Memphis, TN, United States was also named, alongsidecPort of Spain, Trinidad And Tobago, Recife, Brazil and Rosario, Argentina. Baltimore, MD, United States, Guayaquil, Ecuador and Detroit, MI, United States also made the list.
