UK train drivers at 12 rail companies to strike again on Sept 15 - union

LONDON (Reuters) - British train drivers at 12 rail operating companies will strike on Sept. 15 over a pay dispute, the drivers’ union ASLEF said on Wednesday, as surging inflation sparks more industrial unrest and workers demand higher wages.

"They want train drivers to take a real terms pay cut – to work just as hard this year as last, but for 10% less. Because inflation is now in double figures and heading higher," Mick Whelan, ASLEF’s general secretary, said in a statement.
