The President added that during the 110 days of the full-scale war with Russia, Ukraine’s Armed Forces have managed to liberate Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Sumy Oblasts, and also part of Kharkiv Oblast. More than 1,000 towns and villages have been liberated from the occupants.

“The occupiers’ advance in southern Ukraine has been stopped,” Zelensky recounted.

"They still want to make Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhya, and the towns of the Dnipro region into ruins. They still have the power to shell Zelenodolsk and Huliapole with artillery. Odesa is still a target for Russian fleet. But we managed to block dozens of attempts to advance by the Russian army in the south. A counter-offensive operation allowed us to liberate some communities in Kherson Oblast.”

Zelensky also commented on the situation in the Donbas area. There, the Ukrainian army, including reconnaissance units, have proven to be tactically superior in their movements compared to the Russian army, though the Russian army has more weapons and more artillery.

Though the length of the frontline in the Donbas area is more than 2,500 kilometers, “we have the strategic initiative”, Zelensky emphasized.
