Un-HAMMY! Man finds his dead pet dog’s face in his ham sandwich

A man who lost his pet dog last year was stunned to see him again - in a slice of crumbed ham.

The face of lurcher-whippet-cross Stink was spotted in the cooked meat by owner George Hembry as his mum made some sandwiches.

Well, if you look really closely and will yourself to see a dog face, that is.

Still, George, 21, was struck by the ‘likeness’ in the Tesco-bought ham and it made him pine for his pet.

He explained: “It made me wish that Stink was there. It was incredible because we used to take Stink to that shop all the time.

“We’d been talking earlier that day about how much we missed him because an old photo memory popped up on my Facebook page.

“Mum was about to make a sandwich with it but there’s no way I could have eaten it with Stink’s face on it.”

Stink, 16, had suffered badly from arthritis and George made the sad decision to have him put down last October.

George, from Somerset, added: “He was more like a brother to me really. I’m an only child and me and Stink did everything together.

“It’s funny to think he’s maybe still looking over us somehow.”

He said he couldn’t eat the sandwich because of the memory of Stink - although he believes his mum tucked into it instead.
