Youri Tielemans, Morgan Rogers and Matty Cash have been ruled out of Aston Villa's trip to Crystal Palace this Sunday.

Belgian midfielder Tielemans returned to action last Monday to face Liverpool after suffering with a groin injury since the 2-2 draw with Chelsea, while Rogers picked up an injury in the defeat against Brighton and came off in the first half.

Loanee Nicolo Zaniolo has also been ruled out after picking up a foot injury during a brief cameo off the bench against Liverpool. The Italian will also miss Euro 2024.

"Zaniolo broke his metatarsal and it is bad news," Unai Emery said in his pre-match press conference. "He was a doubt, but he did the effort to play on Monday because he had pain in his back after the match we played against Lille.

"He did the effort because we tried to use every players. He played 10 minutes and he broke his metatarsal and he will be out of the Euros. It is very sad for him. At the beginning of the season it will be difficult for him.

"Mings, Buendia, Kamara, Ramsey, Tielemans, Cash and Morgan are not available. We will play there being competitive."

Following their 3-1 win against them in the reverse fixture - Villa are looking to complete their first league double over Palace since 1980-81 - when they most recently won the English top-flight title.
