University student 'critical' after falling from sixth-floor window at Swansea halls of residence

A university student is critical in hospital after falling from a sixth-floor window at a halls of residence. The incident took place at the Penmaen living quarters of Swansea University's Singleton campus in the early hours of Sunday, April 14.

The casualty, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital where South Wales Police said he remained in a critical but stable condition. Officers said their inquiries into the incident were ongoing.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Officers attended Swansea University, Singleton Campus, in the early hours of Sunday, April 14, following reports of a man having fallen from a sixth-floor window. A 19-year-old man was conveyed to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition. His family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Enquiries are ongoing."
