'Unusual' Fog Covers Southern Arizona

Fog continued to blanket a swath of southern Arizona, on Tuesday, December 6, an unusual occurrence in the area, according to the National Weather Service.

On Monday, the NWS issued a dense fog advisory for the Phoenix area, for the first time in nearly a year.

Arizona State Climatology said that the state has, on average, less than five “dense fog days” a year.
