Upstate New York Neighborhood Floods After Water Main Break
A water main break in Troy, New York, sent water gushing down a residential street on Monday, September 18.
A boil-water advisory was in effect for some neighborhoods in Troy, as the loss of water pressure increased the chances of contamination, local officials said. The water main was a major distribution line for the city, officials said, adding that the Department of Public Utilities has begun the necessary repairs.
After-school activities were canceled in some area schools, local news reported on Monday.
