Urgent appeal to find Birmingham schoolgirl missing for nearly a week

An appeal has been launched to find a schoolgirl from Birmingham who has been missing for almost seven days. Raya hails from Birmingham and was seen at Birmingham New Street Station last Saturday (May 18).

The 15-year-old is believed to travelled to Nottingham to go shopping. She is also known to have links to Leicestershire and to Walthamstow, Islington and Camden in north London.

Raya is black, around 5ft 3ins tall, with long black hair and was last seen wearing a black knee length dress and white trainers. She was also wearing a necklace.

West Midlands Police is asking for the public’s help to find her and make sure she is safe. In issuing the appeal a spokesperson for the force said: “Have you seen Raya? The 15-year-old from #Birmingham has gone missing and we need your help to find her.

“She is around 5ft 3ins tall and was last seen wearing a black knee length dress and white trainers. Raya also has links to Nottingham, Leicestershire and Walthamstow, Camden and Islington areas in London. If you see her please call 999 immediately, quoting PID 402425.
