Urgent appeal for missing man as police 'really concerned for his welfare'

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to find a missing man.

Stephen Murphy was last seen at his home address in Ormskirk at around 8.30pm last night (June 23). He was last seen wearing a black cap, dark coloured cardigan and a black t-shirt with a batman logo on it.

Officers are 'really concerned for his welfare' and are appealing for the public's help to locate him. Police said Stephen is 5ft 6ins tall, of slim build, with short brown hair, blue eyes and is described as 'having protruding front teeth'.

A photo of him was shared on the Lancashire Police Facebook page in the early hours of this morning (June 24) in a bid to trace him. Anyone who spots him, or who has any information, should contact officers.

A force spokesperson said: "**MISSING** This is Stephen Murphy currently missing from home and we’re really concerned for his welfare, so are now asking the public for help.

"Ste was last seen at his home address in Ormskirk at 20:30 on 23/06/24. When he was last seen, he was wearing a black cap, dark coloured cardigan and a black t-shirt with a batman logo on it.

"He is described as 5”6, of slim build, with short brown hair, blue eyes and is described as having protruding front teeth. If you have any information that could help us find Ste, please contact us on 101 quoting LC-20240623-1381."
