Urgent appeal to find missing woman with dementia who caught bus and didn't return home

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a missing woman with dementia who caught a bus and hasn't returned home.

Maeve, 82, was last seen on Rushfield Drive in Longsight at around 10.30am on Sunday (June 16). Police believe she caught the bus from Stanley Grove to Gorton Market and has not returned home.

Officers are becoming 'increasingly concerned' about the pensioner, who has dementia, and are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact them immediately.

Maeve is described as a white female, 4ft 9ins tall, with dark brown pixie cut hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a pink and purple coloured top and a waterproof jacket.

An appeal shared by Greater Manchester Police said: "Can you help us find Maeve? She was last seen on Rushfield Drive in Longsight, Manchester. We believe she caught the bus from Stanley Grove to Gorton Market earlier today and has not returned.

"Maeve has dementia and officers are becoming increasingly concerned about her and want to make sure she is safe and well."

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting log 2470 of June 16.
