Detectives have made an urgent plea for help to find a man and a woman following a serious assault at a car boot sale in North Warwickshire. A 42-year-old man was left with a bleed on the brain after being punched in alleged dispute over the sale of a car roof box at the EBoot Market & Car Boots in Lea Marston on Sunday.

Investigating officers have not only re-iterated their appeal to trace a man seen in the area at the time, but also a woman who was with him. The man has been described as a white male aged between 20 and 30 years old and approximately 5ft 9in tall. He is of a muscular build with a big, red-coloured beard and a sleeve-style tattoo on his left arm.

He was wearing a black Nike hat with white logo, a white t-short, black jeans, and white shoes, and would have been carrying a large black car roof box.

Witnesses say he spoke with an eastern European accent, possibly Polish. The man was said to have been with a blonde female.

She was aged around 20 to 25 years old and is of a slim build and around or under 5ft 2ins tall.

DI Sartoris said: "We are very keen to speak to these two people so we can get a clear and full understanding of the events which led to a man being hospitalised with a brain injury. If anyone can help us locate or identify them, let us know as soon as possible."

Anyone who recognises the man or who has any information should call 101, quoting incident number 108 of May 12 or report via the police website here. Information can also passed on to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website or on 0800 555 111.
