Urgent police appeal for help finding missing woman from Stockport

UPDATE: Sophie has now been found safe and well, GMP said.

Police are appealing for help to find a missing woman. Sophie was last seen in Stockport this afternoon.

Officers have released a description of her appearance and features in a bid to help with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Greater Manchester Police on Facebook: "Can you help us find missing Sophie?

"She was last seen on Buxton Road in Stockport at 1.30pm this afternoon (Saturday 18 May 2024).

"Sophie is described as a white female of a medium build. She is 5ft 5 inches with brown hair and is wearing a black jacket with a pink trim.

"She is wearing grey pants and pink crocs.

"Anyone with information about Sophie's whereabouts should call police on 0161 856 9721, quoting log number 1759 of 18/05/2024."
