An urgent search has been launched to find a missing man.

Police are very concerned for the welfare of 69-year-old John Canning.

John, from Calmore, was last seen at The Six Bells pub in Lymington at 2.15pm.

He is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall, with long grey hair.

He has an Irish accent and links to Lymington and the New Forest area.

Officers are asking anyone who has seen him to please contact police.

If anyone has any information regarding John’s whereabouts, please call 999 quoting reference 44240170074.

A Darlington man has been jailed after driving his car at speed into a theatre in the north English town on March 7.Police said Richard Kelly drove his Ford Puma through a T-junction, crashing into metal barriers outside Darlington Hippodrome and into the front of the building.Police released CCTV showing Kelly’s car narrowly missing other vehicles before smashing into the theatre.Kelly was not wearing a seatbelt and smelt strongly of alcohol, police said.
