US Coast Guard Prepares for Arrival of Hurricane Isaias

US Coast Guard personnel were readying equipment and boats on Friday, July 31, ahead of the expected arrival of Hurricane Isaias along the eastern seaboard.

The National Hurricane Center said Hurricane Isaias brought dangerous storm conditions and heavy rain across the central Bahamas Friday evening.

A hurricane warning remained in effect for much of the Bahamas, the NHC said, while a hHurricane watch was in effect for a section of Florida’s east coast including the cities of Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Port St Lucie, and Delray Beach.
