UT Tyler honors outgoing president Calhoun

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – UT Tyler honored retiring president Dr. Kirk Calhoun with their President’s Picnic on the Plaza event on Thursday.

Gaston Museum hosts its last field trip

Calhoun has been with UT Tyler for 22 years and told KETK that he thinks the university will keep succeeding after he is gone.

“We set up a wonderful leadership structure here, a great administration. This is a fantastic place, a fantastic university. And it’s going to keep rolling along very, very aggressively,” Calhoun said.

His last day as president will be May 31.
