Vampire Weekend add second Alexandra Palace show to UK tour: How to get tickets
Vampire Weekend have added a second show at Alexandra Palace to their UK tour.
The New York three-piece, who released their long-awaited fourth album Father of the Bride earlier this month, will now play the north London venue on both November 13 and 14.
It will come after a string of dates as part of the band’s world tour, which also includes shows in Edinburgh, Manchester and Birmingham.
Support for the London shows will come from Los Angeles indie-rockers Wallows.
Vampire Weekend played a run of intimate shows in the capital in March, appearing at EartH in Hackney and Islington Assembly Hall.
The Standard was at that first show, and witnessed a band that was “still seemingly at the peak of their creative powers”, adding: “For all the cerebral composition and slick musicianship on show, it was notable that Vampire Weekend never put their creative satisfaction above the audience’s enjoyment.” Read the full review here.
