Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker kept their Dec. 2 Mexico wedding behind closed doors – until now.

In an interview with Vogue, the actress, 34, shared for the first time an inside look into her special day. She dished out all details on her Vera Wang ceremony dress and custom veil that had the words “Mrs. T December 2nd, 2023” embroidered in a Gothic font.

Hudgens also told the outlet that she's happy with her decision to keep the wedding private.

“It was genuinely the most magical weekend of my life,” she said. “I am so grateful that we got to have a private wedding, and it helped that I took everyone’s phones away."

She continued: "It was amazing because at the dinner, I would look around and everyone was talking to each other—our family and friend groups coming together and creating real relationships that I know they’re going to invest real time into."

"Seeing that and bringing everyone together and celebrating us, it was just so magical. Literally talking about it right now, I’m getting teary-eyed. I couldn’t have dreamt it to be any better. I knew it was going to be magical, but it exceeded my expectations," she shared.

Hudgens also revealed that she struggled to keep her emotions in check as she walked down the aisle on her wedding day. "[My advice to others is] don’t do first looks, because seeing each other at the altar for the first time is the most emotional moment of my life,” the High School Musical alum said.

"I literally keeled over when I saw Cole and had to take a big breath and had to force myself to keep walking because I could have dropped to the floor," she added.

The free agent baseball player, 27, and actress first sparked dating rumors in November 2020, when they were seen holding hands in Los Angeles. They shared the happy news of their engagement in February.

Since the start of their relationship, the pair — who met on a Zoom meditation group call — have been head over heels. "I get on the Zoom, and I'm like, 'Who is that?'" Hudgens shared on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021. "I found him, and we started talking."

"If I want something or someone, I'm going after them. I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, 'Hey, it was nice to meet you.' So I think there is no shame in making the first move," she added.

Hudgens told PEOPLE in March that her engagement left her surprised, although she knew the moment would eventually come.

"I was extremely surprised," she said of Tucker's proposal. "We had definitely talked about it, but I did not expect it to happen the way that it happened and the moment that it happened. It definitely caught me off guard and I was bawling my eyes out."

During an April appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna, Hudgens got candid about her feelings over getting engaged.

"It feels amazing. It's so funny, I was talking about this with Cole. ... People are always like, 'Does it feel different? [Do] things feel different [getting engaged]?'" she shared. "That was always my question normally, but now I get to be asked it."

"And you know what, it actually does," the Knight Before Christmas star continued. "There's a sense of security. You feel so safe. It's the best thing ever. I love being a fiancée."
