'Very Cold' Air Mass Moves Toward Northwestern US Coast

A “very cold” air mass moved south toward the northwestern coast of the United States on Tuesday, February 21, according to the NOAA’s Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Satellite imagery released on Tuesday by the NOAA shows “very cold air plunging down the North America west coast.”

The National Weather Service issued a gale warning for the coastal region, saying that “below
