Veterans Documentary ‘Disorder’ Acquired by Freestyle Digital Media for November Release (EXCLUSIVE)
Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, has acquired North American VOD rights to documentary feature film “Disorder.”
Written and directed by filmmaker Kate Blewett (“Eyes of a Child,” “Slavery,” “The Dying Rooms”), the documentary illustrates the impact of war on veterans, following three former service members as they try to cope as civilians with PTSD. The pic features contributions from war journalist and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Sebastian Junger and writer, photojournalist, and filmmaker Lalage Snow.

“‘Disorder’ is a story not just for war veterans and those who have experienced war, but for the millions of people across the world who have all gone through a shared trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said filmmaker Kate Blewett in a statement. “‘Disorder’ tells the big story of mental health and the isolation of mankind today.”
The film is produced by Debbie Gray of Genesius Pictures and Harvey Morgan of Messy Hands Productions. Freestyle Digital Media negotiated the deal to acquire the pic directly with Gray.
“Disorder” will be available to rent or own on all digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms in North America, as well as on DVD, starting Nov. 28 through Freestyle Digital Media.
