Vettori to play for Brisbane Heat in Oz Big Bash

Wellington, July 19 (ANI): Former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori will play for the Brisbane Heat in Australian cricket's inaugural Twenty20 Big Bash League. Vettori will join fellow Black Cap Brendon McCullum as Brisbane's two international recruits in the league, the Brisbane Heat said in a statement today. According to stuff.co.nz, this will 32-year-old left-arm spinner Vettori's second stint in Australian domestic T20 cricket, after turning out for the Queensland Bulls in the 2009 Big Bash series. In his 28 T20 internationals, he took 35 wickets at 16.57 each, and had an economy rate of 5.36. The league begins in December. (ANI)
