Victoria Beckham has gushed that son Brooklyn’s fiancee is a “wonderful woman”, adding: “We love her.”

Brooklyn, 21, announced this summer that he is engaged to 25-year-old American actress Nicola Peltz, and Victoria has said she is delighted to have some happy news in 2020.

The Spice Girl fashion designer told Lorraine: “Everybody always remembers Brooklyn as being little Brooklyn, on the football pitch with David at Manchester United.

“Now he’s a 21-year-old man. He’s so happy, they are both so happy.

“She is just wonderful. She’s sweet, she's kind, she's such a lovely, warm, wonderful, wonderful woman.

“We couldn’t have asked for Brooklyn to meet a more adorable, lovely lady. We are very happy. We love her. He’s so happy.”

Victoria added: “It's nice with everything that has gone on this year that Brooklyn has found his soulmate and the lady he wants to spend the rest of his life with, during this time there’s been so much uncertainty and that everything felt a little bit sad.

“So we are very happy and very excited. What will I wear?!”

Brooklyn and Peltz had been dating for nine months before they announced their engagement in July.

He shared a picture of them on Instagram with the caption: “Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes. I am the luckiest man in the world.

“I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day I love you baby.”

Victoria, 46, was 25 when she married footballer David Beckham in summer 1999, a few months after Brooklyn was born.

They are also parents to sons Romeo, 18, and Cruz, 15, and nine-year-old daughter Harper.

Peltz is the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner. Her latest acting role is in the new Netflix Christmas rom-com Holidate, starring Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey.
