Air Strikes Rock Houthi-Held Positions in Sanaa

Saudi Arabia and Gulf region allies began military operations in Yemen on Wednesday, March 25, to counter against Houthi rebels who deposed Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi in February. According to reports, a coalition of 10 countries, including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), began air strikes on Houthi-held positions shortly after 2am local time on Wednesday.

Over 150,000 troops and 100 fighter jets from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan and Pakistan were ready to take part in the offensive in Yemen Al Arabiya reported, citing Saudi sources.
