At least 2,500 people attended an anti-Trident rally in Glasgow’s George Square on Saturday, April 4. Protesters called for the scrapping of the ‘Trident Programme’, Britain’s nuclear weapons program which is based in Scotland. The leader of the the Scottish National Party, Nicola Sturgeon, addressed the rally organised by the Scrap Trident coalition. Two further protests are planned in the run up to the general election.
