Copperhead Snake Undergoes Surgery to Remove Stiches
A copperhead snake received a minor surgery to remove stitches on Sunday, June 14, six weeks after being attacked by a human in Melbourne. Victorian snake-catcher Barry Goldsmith performed the surgery on the snake to remove six stitches while the snake was not under any anesthetic. The Australian copperhead snake is a native snake with a bite that can easily kill an adult human.
The second video, from early May, shows the operation to stitch the snake up, performed by Melbourne vet Dr Shane Simpson. Credit: Facebook/Snake Catcher Victoria Australia
