Cuomo Officiates Same-Sex Wedding Ahead of NYC Gay Pride Parade

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo officiated a same-sex marriage on June 28 ahead of the annual New York City Gay Pride Parade. It was the first marriage Cuomo officiated after being granted the power to do so. The wedding took place in front of the historic Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, which has been a center for the gay pride movement.

The wedding and the annual pride parade were held just two days after the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage, overturning state bans. Credit: YouTube/New York Governor’s Office
