David Cameron Marks 800th Anniversary of Magna Carta

Queen Elizabeth and UK Prime Minister David Cameron were in Runnymede on June 15, to mark the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta, which laid the foundations of parliamentary democracy. They attended an event at the site where King John sealed the original Magna Carta document in 1215. Cameron said that the document remained relevant, “because while we have…government under the rule of law, so many countries don’t.” Credit: Facebook/David Cameron
