Greenpeace Reports On Fukushima Disaster Four Years On

March 11th 2015 marks four years since the Great East Japan Earthquake sparked the worst nuclear disaster in a generation at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

Since 2011, Greenpeace say they have been monitoring radiation levels in the Fukushima Prefecture. The organization reports that, “with the government planning to restart the reactors, radioactive contamination is still widespread throughout the region.”

Greenpeace, along with local groups, have been successful in keeping Japan’s nuclear reactors offline for the last 18 months. This video was produced by Greenpeace and features a report on the human impacts of the Fukushima nuclear disaster four years on. Credit: YouTube\GreenpeaceVideo
