Man Rescued From Sinking Pickup Truck in Brisbane River

A man was pulled from a sinking pick-up truck in the Brisbane river by a passer-by on Tuesday, July 14. Eye-witnesses told ABC News they saw the vehicle cross the median strip and three lanes of traffic on Kingsford Smith Drive at Hamilton before it smashed through a barrier fence and plunged into the river around 7am. An unidentified good Samaritan pulled over, jumped into the river to rescue the man and then left the scene.
