Morsi Supporters March in Alexandria

A demonstration in support of ousted president Mohammed Morsi took to the streets of Agami, an outskirt of Alexandria on August 10, to show their support for the Muslim Brotherhood leader, who has been detained by the Egyptian military since June 2014 after widespread protests called for his removal. The protestors can be heard chanting pro-Morsi slogans, at 00.18 into the footage they can be heard saying, “We are rising for the sake of God”.

Some are holding up four fingers, a reference to an Islamist sit-in in Cairo’s Raba’a square which was violently dispersed in 2013. Credit: alexrevolution2013
