United Nations Security Council Observe a Moment of Silence for Terrorist Attack Victims

The United Nations Security Council observed a moment of silence for the victims of the attacks in Paris, Beirut, and other parts of the world. The UK, which holds the council presidency in November, opened the meeting on Monday, November 16, by expressing “profound sadness and deep outrage at the horrendous terrorist attacks that took place in Paris on the evening of November 13.”
