Some demonstrators in central Yerevan became embroiled in a confrontation on Thursday evening, July 2, as they opposed the waving of EU flags at the movement’s camp. According to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, demonstrators scuffled with a politician waving an EU flag as they feared the politicization of their movement with broader issues beyond the aim to reverse the government’s decision to raise electricity prices.
