Vidi vs Chelsea
Europa League 2018-19
Venue: Groupama Arena, Budapest
Date: Thursday, December 13, 2018
Kick-off: 5:55pm GMT

Chelsea head into their final Europa League group phase match against Vidi with qualification as group winners already in the bag.

But the Blues will be keen to preserve their 100 percent record in the competition having won all five of their matches so far this term, conceding just once in the process.

With the busy festive period looming large, Maurizio Sarri has the opportunity to name an experimental line up on Thursday and rest some of his first-team regulars.

Team news

Callum Hudson-Odoi was handed his first start under Sarri in the comfortable victory over PAOK last time out and having contributed a goal and an assist in that victory, another start will surely beckon on Thursday.

With Gary Cahill set to be given the green light to leave Stamford Bridge in January, this could be the skipper’s final game for Chelsea.

Ethan Ampadu, who has been limited to just 27 minutes of first-team action this term, will be hopeful of partnering him at the back.
