The 2024 Ferrari SF90 XX, available in Stradale coupe and Spider convertible body styles, is the latest in Ferrari's line of extreme XX-badged track cars. The main difference this time is that the SF90 XX is the first that can be driven on the street.

The SF90 XX builds on the SF90's already bonkers package, which includes a plug-in-hybrid powertrain that combines a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine with three electric motors that provide all-wheel drive.

Revisions to the XX model's V-8 increase output to 786 horsepower, a gain of 17 ponies, while new software can briefly extract an additional 13 horses (for a total of 230) from its electrical system. Combined output is now 1016 horsepower.

Extensive aerodynamic revisions increase the SF90 XX's downforce figure to 1168 pounds at 155 mph, up from the standard SF90's 860 pounds.

Also worth noting: The SF90 XX is the first roadgoing Ferrari with a fixed rear wing since the F40 and F50 of the 1980s and '90s.

SF90 XX production will be limited to 799 Stradales and 599 Spiders, all of which are already spoken for.

Additional revisions include revised programming for the SF90's eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes, and a new ABS controller.

The SF90 XX rolls on 20-inch Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, same as the regular SF90.

The SF90 XX comes standard with Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers and can be upgraded with adaptive magnetorheological dampers that have a nose-lift function.

Optimized sound tubes pipe more of the V-8's combustion noise into the SF90 XX's passenger compartment.
