A Dorset village hall has been granted planning consent to add solar panels to its roof.

Thirty panels have been approved by Dorset Council for the south west roof at Stalbridge Hall in Ring Street.

At Westbrook, Gillingham an application to convert an agricultural building into two homes has been turned down under prior approval rules. The decision will mean the application now having to apply for full planning permission, if it is to go ahead.
