Frank Warren believes Tyson Fury is in 'tremendous shape' both physically and mentally ahead of his heavyweight showdown with Oleksandr Usyk later this month.

Fury and Usyk will both attempt to put their name in the boxing history books in less than a couple of weeks time as the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999.

The fight was initially meant to take place in February but was forced to be rearranged after Fury sustained a cut to his eye. Fight night is nearly upon us with Fury landing in Saudi Arabia over the weekend.

With the fight taking place after two training camps, Fury looks to be in remarkable shape in training. After narrowly beating Francis Ngannou in October, the Gypsy King has made significant strikes in his transformation.

Warren, Fury's promoter, has gone on record to state Fury is in the best shape of his life ahead of the highly-anticipated fight. "He's in tremendous shape not just physically but mentally," he said on talkSPORT's Fight Night.

"I'm confident we are going to get a vintage performance, I spoke to him during the week. He's in very good shape I think, and although he had that cut, it has come good as he has had back-to-back camps.

"Physically I have never seen him look so well. The worry was going straight into a training camp was that he'd peak too soon. He has worked really hard so that he is in his best nick on May 18.

"I just feel he is going to put on a magnificent performance and stop Usyk."
