A travel influencer is urging holiday-seekers to visit what she calls "the most underrated country in the world."

With an array of attractions and an affordable budget under £500, Hannah can't recommend Malta enough.

Through her TikTok page @hannahshols, Hannah shares valuable travel advice, including location suggestions, important tips unique to each destination, cost estimates and much more.

Despite experiencing awe at various sites, Hannah has a special place in her heart for Malta, located beneath Italy and above Tunisia, merely a three-hour flight away from the UK.

Recently, Hannah, along with friends, visited this relatively modest land. The group spent just over £400 per person covering flights, hotel accommodation equipped with a rooftop pool for five nights, breakfast, luggage, and transfers.

A video recording of their journey to Malta was posted on Hannah's TikTok page, attracting over a million likes.

Passionately praising Malta, Hannah declared: "Malta is by far the most underrate country I think I've ever visited."

Furthermore, she noted: "Even though Malta is the 10th smallest country in the world, it is definitely giving big country energy."

A subsequent video highlighted the country's remarkable scenery, striking sea views, numerous shops and food centres, historic landmarks and magnificent gardens.

Hannah, who visited Malta last September, fondly remembered how unique the country felt. She said: "One thing I loved about Malta was that it was like nowhere I'd ever been before. It's got such strong Arabic and Roman influences."

She closed her reflections, saying: "It was just absolutely beautiful and everyone we met just seemed so proud to be Maltese."

Hannah then shared her top tips for exploring Malta's capital, Valletta. She and her group primarily explored on foot or used the bus system, which she described as "super convenient and cheap".

"Just spend a day in Valletta, roaming around, street dining, going to the boutique shops, wandering in and out of the gardens, seeing the cannons being fired at the saluting battery, and checking out the harbour front," Hannah recommended.

She also endorsed the Gozo, Comino and Blue Lagoon cruise, a full-day boat trip departing from Sliema that visits both islands and showcases their landmarks. The excursion cost Hannah and her friends "around £29 each".

Hannah's travel video garnered over 1,000 comments, with many viewers echoing her sentiments about Malta. "I am from Malta and I am so happy that you loved our little island," one local remarked.

"Malta is stunning, I would go back in a heartbeat," another viewer shared. Someone else added: "Genuinely one of my favourite European destinations ever- never gets boring."

"Omg I live in Malta, it's so underrated," another comment read.

For those looking to visit Malta, airlines such as Air Malta, Easyjet, British Airways, Ryanair, and Jet2 offer direct flights from the UK. The most frequented route is from London Heathrow to Malta International Airport, located in Valletta.
