“The Voice”'s First-Ever Double Coaches Dan + Shay Get Their Own Special Chair in Season 25 Teaser: Watch! (Exclusive)
The country duo join the coaching panel on the forthcoming 25th season of the hit NBC competition reality series
The Voice is getting its first team of duo coaches — so obviously they’re getting the first-ever double chair!
PEOPLE is exclusively premiering a teaser for the forthcoming 25th season of The Voice, which introduces new coaches Dan + Shay, as well as their special chair that’s perfectly for two judges.
Returning coaches Chance the Rapper, John Legend and Reba McEntire all make an appearance in the clip, which plays out like a nostalgic, kitschy advertisement for a shopping network.
Over on The Voice Shopping Network, the three fan-favorite coaches proclaim, “Get ready for a deal so good, you’ll turn your chair,” before convincingly selling a spinning chair and buzzer fit for the new additions to the series.
They tease the product as McEntire, 68, asks, “Are you a first-ever double coach on The Voice, but not sure how you’re both going to fit in the coach’s chair?” and Chance the Rapper, 30, adds, “Well, we’ve got just the thing for you.”
Legend, 45, puts on his best QVC host impression while talking up the cheekily named “Double Chair S25,” which he describes as being “the latest in state-of-the-art chair turn technology.” He hilariously says, “It’s got a sleek and sexy design, cutting edge button-pushing, and — I cannot stress this enough — two seats.”
As Shay Mooney, 32, and Dan Smyers, 36, watch the commercial from home, they’re inspired to place an order by calling into The Voice Shopping Network hotline — run by none other than The Voice’s host Carson Daly.
At the end of the clip, the country music stars are thrilled by their purchase that they can both comfortably sit on, and ready to join the new season of the hit competition reality series.
The teaser comes just several weeks before the highly anticipated season 25 of the NBC series is set to return on Feb. 25.

The coaching panel will be filled out by Chance the Rapper, following his one season hiatus, Legend for his ninth season, McEntire for her second consecutive season and Dan + Shay in their debut appearance
This installment sees both longtime judge Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan step away from the show. The former One Direction vocalist, 30, was among the coaches for seasons 23 and 24 — during both of which he ended up coaching the winning singer.
Last season, which wrapped up in December, saw musician Michael Huntley (whose known professionally as Huntley) come out on top.
Season 25 of The Voice premieres on Monday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and streaming the following day on Peacock.
