A huge £169 million is still “waiting to be won” after nobody bagged Tuesday’s EuroMillions jackpot.

While there were no winners of the top prize, seven ticket holders across Europe, including five in the UK, became millionaires after matching five numbers and one lucky star to take home £1,784,722.10 each.

The winning numbers for Tuesday were 02, 11, 18, 40 and 46 with lucky stars number 01 and 04.

Friday's jackpot will remain an estimated £169 million after reaching its cap.

Camelot said one UK millionaire has also been created after matching the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code.

The National Lottery's Andy Carter said: "The fantastic £169 million EuroMillions jackpot is still waiting to be won.

"Players are urged to get their tickets early for Friday's draw, which could make the country's biggest ever winner.

"As the jackpot is now capped, tonight's draw has seen seven players bank bigger prizes for matching five numbers and just one lucky star. Five lucky UK players each won £1.7 million.

"Remember, every EuroMillions ticket sold helps contribute to the more than £30 million raised every week for good causes by The National Lottery.”

If anyone in the UK wins the EuroMillions jackpot, they will become Britain's biggest ever lottery winner.

The current record holders for the biggest ever lottery win are Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs in North Ayrshire, Scotland, who won £161 million in 2011.
