Yahoo News Walking Dead boss addresses The Ones Who Live season 2 possibility
The Walking Dead spin-off The Ones Who Live could carry on for another season, says the franchise's chief content officer Scott Gimple.
Finally set to premiere on AMC later this month, the six-parter was initially built into a feature-film format, with Rick Grimes (reprised by Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) reuniting after being torn apart in the ninth season of the flagship zombie drama.
Gimple told Deadline of the spin-off's expansion potential: "Anything is possible — even if Rick dies in the last episode, anything is possible.

"We're focused on this one right now. But this one came together in a really amazing way, where there were all sorts of plans. And then the world changed and we altered those plans."
He was, of course, referring to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Ones Who Live also features Lost favourite Terry O'Quinn in the cast, who's playing newcomer General Beale.
"He is the leader of the Civic Republic Military, and it operates pretty independently on the Civic Republic government. So he doesn't really have to deal with them very much," the actor shared with Entertainment Weekly last month.

"He's held in high esteem. He's kind of a hero. He has a long military history. He served two terms in Vietnam and went to officer training school. And he's had to make some decisions in terms of who lives and who dies and how to deal with the mass of walking dead."
Asked for his thoughts on co-star Lincoln, O'Quinn said: "Working with Andrew Lincoln was easy and pleasant. He's a pro, and that's really the closest thing I can say about anybody in terms of working with them because that involves being there, being prepared, being respectful of everyone, and being as helpful as possible. And he was that."
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premieres Sunday, February 25 on AMC and AMC+ in the US. The Walking Dead aired on AMC in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.
