Yahoo News Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon star confirms season 2 release window

Norman Reedus has confirmed a release window for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two.
The actor shared a poster to his Instagram Story revealing that the spin-off's second season, subtitled The Book of Carol, will arrive in summer 2024.
Season one followed Reedus' character Daryl as he washed ashore in France and journeyed across the post-apocalyptic country in the hopes of finding his way back home.

However, his journey home was complicated when he ran into a mysterious religious order, who forced him to take a young boy through Provence in order to ignite "the revival of humanity".
Melissa McBride, who played Carol Peletier on the main show, made a guest appearance in season one, though it's been confirmed that she will have a main role in season two.
"I've known there was much more to be told of Carol's story as I felt her so unsettled when we last saw her, as she watched her best friend, Daryl, ride away," McBride said in a statement.
"Apart or (hopefully!) together, their stories run deep, and I'm so excited to continue Carol's journey here."

Further teasing Carol's role in season two, Daryl Dixon boss David Zabel said: "The radio call [in episode five] gave her a little bit of a clue as to how to maybe track [Daryl] down.
"There's also another clue – this moment in the radio call where she talks about something or someone having come back.
"The impression [the audience] and Daryl gets is that something's a little off for her. That's going to function into the story for Carol in season two… she has a great dual track that we're setting her off on and we've shot some of that already, and it's going to be fantastic when it's all together."
Other cast members returning for season two include Clémence Poésy as Isabelle and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi as Laurent.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon airs on AMC in the US. A UK broadcaster has yet to be announced.
