The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live: Watch the Latest Trailer for AMC’s ‘Richonne’ Spinoff

It’s kill or be killed in the full-length trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live that AMC released Wednesday. In the epic (and we do mean epic!) teaser, Andrew Lincoln’s Rick and Danai Gurira’s Michonne defy what look to be insurmountable odds in hopes of not only reuniting but reuniting their whole family.

Working against them, it would seem, will be not only Rick’s savior, Pollyanna McIntosh’s Jadis, who is still working for the Civil Republic Military (as she was in World Beyond), and fellow baddie Beale, a CRM Major General played by Lost vet Terry O’Quinn.

Per the official logline for The Ones Who Live, which premieres on Sunday, Feb. 25, Rick and Michonne have been “changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. [Judith and R.J.’s parents] are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… and ultimately, a war against the living.

“Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before?” the show asks. “Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”

You’ll recall that when Lincoln made his last appearance on the mothership back in 2018, AMC said that his embattled protagonist’s story would be continuing in a series of movies. Four years later, AMC disclosed a change of plans: The movies wouldn’t be movies anymore but a six-episode limited series that would also star Lincoln’s longtime leading lady. The cast also includes Lucifer alum Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl and Matt Jeffries as Nat. Walking Dead chief content officer Scott M. Gimple is the showrunner.

JAN. 25 UPDATE: In addition to the full-length trailer above, AMC has unveiled a second trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which you can view in full below:
