The Walking Dead: World Beyond will tackle mysteries from other shows, says boss
The Walking Dead: World Beyond boss Scott M Gimple has explained how the latest spin-off will address certain mysteries from the other shows.
During the horror drama's Comic-Con@Home panel, the executive producer revealed that the Civil Republic of the Midwest - the elusive, helicopter-owning group that whisked Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) and a heavily injured Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) away in the original show's ninth season will play a "huge part" in the newest outing.
"We found out a great deal about them," he told moderator Chris Hardwick, acknowledging how the organisation also showed up in Fear the Walking Dead's fifth season. "They are a very mysterious force, and the community they keep secure are incredibly secretive.

"Regardless, we go into that community a little bit... We don't get a deep look at it, but we get some pretty tantalising tips to it."
During the Zoom chat, which was released on the event's official YouTube channel on Friday, July 24, Gimple went on to tease that audiences will meet certain members of the CRM, too.
"We see [Julia Ormond's] Elizabeth, we see other people. Yeah, they're a constant presence in this story and it explains a lot towards what we've seen in other shows and it invites new questions. This is me not being coy," he laughed. "We learn a lot."

Starring Annet Mahendru, Alexa Mansour, Hal Cumpston, Nicolas Cantu, Aliyah Royale and Nico Tortorella, The Walking Dead: World Beyond takes place ten years after the apocalypse begins, and centres on a group of Nebraska-based youngsters who are the "first generation to come-of-age" in the new world.
"Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever," the official synopsis continues. "Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad."
The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere on Sunday, October 4 on AMC in the US and Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
