Wallace changes baseball schedule after field floods

DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Wallace Community College has announced changes to its baseball schedule.

The college’s baseball field was flooded Monday morning during the torrential downpour that soaked Houston County.

“The field is absolutely unplayable, and it may not be for several more days,” said Nathan Frazier of Wallace Community College.

Two games scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, and Wednesday, February 14, have been canceled.

Instead of playing at home, the Governors will travel to the Tallahassee Community College on Wednesday, February 14, to play a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.

The Govs will then face Tallahassee for a nine-inning contest at home on Sunday, February 18, at 1:00 p.m.
