Ward's jury trial began Monday, March 18, in the Clinton County Courthouse before District Court Judge Tamra Roberts.

Ward was represented by attorneys Theresa Sampson Brown and Steven J. Drahozal.

The prosecution was by Assistant State Attorney General Frank Severino Jr. and Clinton County Attorney Michael L. Wolf.
